Skill Level (1-5): 2
Time to Complete: 1 hour (allowing for drying time)

Instructions

Step 1: Carefully spread coil on the Wire Bound Journal to remove the cover.

Step 2: Cut papers from Metallic Collage kit into random sized rectangles and squares.

Step 3: Use Matte Medium to attach the collage papers to the cover. Let dry. When dry, use a 1/4″ hole punch to punch the papers from the holes to reveal the holes in the chipboard cover.

Step 4: Water down the white ultra chalk paint and brush a light application over the surface of the cover, just to unify the design and create a cohesive base.

Step 5: Create a pocket (4″ x 5 1/4″) using the PostCard die cut, Map Paper and black cardstock and attach to the front, centering on the right and bottom of the journal.

Step 6: Create a tag from the corrugated paper and lightly brush red paint over the top. Attach a quote with glue or stapler.

Step 7: Paint the wood word “memories” with red paint, when dry sand lightly.

Step 8: Add a quote over the top of memories.

Step 9: Water down some gold metallic paint and splatter over the front of the entire journal. Follow with a tiny bit of red.

Step 10: Wrap twine around the cover several times and secure with a knot. Add a tag and 2 keys.

Step 11: Re-assemble the journal using a binding machine or squeeze the coil back together with your fingers.

Step 12: Add a few tabs to the tops of the pages to create a variety of sections in the book.#25061 Art-C Travel collage Kit
