Layered patterned paper flowers are the perfect embellishment for this encouraging card.
Step 1: To create this project, cut a piece of white cardstock to 5” x 8” and fold in half to form a 5” x 4” card base.
Step 2: Next cut 8 flower shapes from various colors of pattern papers using the Grand Calibur. Adhere the flower shaped pieces together using foam adhesive alternating the colors as shown. Place a white pearl in the center of each.
Step 3: Cut a mat for the front of the card and ink the edges. Adhere to the center of the card base.
Step 4: Using the Bookplate dies, cut one in pink and one in a polka dot paper. Cut the polka dot one in half. Emboss the pink one with the lined die. Adhere the polka dot pieces behind the pink bookplate cut as shown in the image. Cut a ½” from the right edge then place foam adhesive behind the bookplates.
Step 5: Tie a knot in the white double ruffled ribbon and adhere it to the front of the card toward the bottom so the knot is along the left edge of the mat.
Step 6: Place the green button on top of the knot and hold in place using the twine. Tie a bow.
Step 7: Ink around the bookplate cut and each of the flowers.
Step 8: Adhere the bookplate cut to the right edge of the card directly over the ribbon.
Step 9: Adhere the flowers to the card using foam adhesive as shown.
Step 10: Finish the card by adhering the “hope” wood embellishment to the bookplate cut.
