Time to Complete: 1 hour (allowing for drying time)
Step 1: Cover frame with chestnut gel stain. Once dry, cover with white chalk paint. Allow paint to dry. Dry brush gray chalk paint over white keeping coverage spotty. Sand to further distress frame, exposing stain. TIP: to keep wire clean, cover with painter’s tape while applying stain and paint. Step 2: Trim blue, yellow and music tags to desired widths and lengths. Ink edges of all tags with gray. Machine stitch around edges. Step 3: Embellish tags as shown. Use gray chalk paint to cover wood letters. Once dry, distress edges with gray ink. Step 4: Print “Welcome” onto brown ledger paper. Cut into flag shape and ink edges. Add brad to left side. Step 5: Use gray ink to cover wood “Memories” piece. Mix chestnut stain with turquoise chalk paint. Paint wood piece and allow to dry. Sand edges to distress, exposing gray ink. Step 6: Remove s-hooks from clips. Use clips to secure tags to chicken wire. Attach word strips and wood title using foam adhesive and wire respectively.
